Yes, yes, yes! DjDLMark is an Argentina CEDM remix master at his best. Lead has been a popular artist to remix as of lately for many Spanish speaking CEDM artists. The smooth vocals and vibes offer up a lot as a baseline track for a solid remix. That being said, I think that I have found my number one mix out of all of those mixes and that is right here. DjDLMark has done a seamless and superb job in mixing this track. This 80s vibe track is basically all of the coolness of the 80s, with a modern twist, packed into two minutes and 57 seconds. But I’m not going to kid myself here. It’s actually packed into eight minutes and fifty-one seconds because three times is the minimum listens for this track every time that it comes on. If you’re a fan of Stranger Things, if you’re a fan of multiple simultaneous cool vibe 80s synths, or if you’re a decent human being, then you’re going to love this track! Not one second of boredom, not one second of cringe. This track is beautifully composed and mastered. Give me some Ray Bans, an 80s pearl-white Mercedes, and a clear path down Pacific Coast Highway because I’m ready. Thank you DLMark!
HNG 10 is great for the health of the CEDM community. this artist seems to focus on mostly tropical house, future chill house and future dub sorts of sounds. They seem to do well in both their original content and remixes. I really love how HNG 10 has taken tracks that are incredibly popular to remix in the CEDM community but has still managed to give the track a completely new and refreshing sound. This particular track, Better (originally by Britt Nicole), is a great example of just that. HNG 10 Really seems to let the vocals shine by adding minimally to the low portions of the track but the chorus has a complete EDM makeover with those beautiful future synths and future bass. I can’t place my taste on any particular part of this remix that makes it so addicting but I just know that it is. Please do take a listen and you’ll likely know just what I’m talking about. Good work here HNG 10.
FirstLast continues to impress me with his recent releases. This most recent remix does not stray from that trend. If you are feeling a melodic dub house track then look no further. The base track and beautiful vocals offer a lot to work with and FirstLast seems to have really taken advantage of that in a subtle way. He doesn’t detract from the melodic vibe of the track while adding that dub flare to the bounce that really gives it an extra little boost of energy. Also, you cannot beat the wholesome and poetic lyrics of the original Christian artist of Melezz & Laura Brizuela. Great job with this one FirstLast!
If you have not heard of Trelic then you need to. He is an excellent addition to the CEDM community and he is one of those artists who has refined his skills over time to really make for a competitive artist. He has featured both remixes and original tracks and he seems to dabble much in the house and trap crossover genres. This particular track, a remix of Reckless Love, originally by Cory Asbury, should be very familiar to any church goers or gospel listeners. It’s been a staple of recent times in such communities. This track is also a very hard track to remix due to it’s highly acoustic sound, slow BPM, and slow melodic lyrics. When someone like Trelic creates a successful new EDM sound to such a track, I have to give it its due admiration. I love how well the trap synths of the drops in this track compliment the original sound and mood so well. He really adds to the emotion of the track and he keeps the composure while also adding that cool EDM flare to it. All to often, artists can go overboard with such tracks. Trelic keeps the remix simple, elegant, and good. Thank you Trelic for this hit!
Awaio is a big name CEDM artists from Bolivia who specializes in both English and Spanish tracks and he is excellent at both! Awaio just came out with this track and it is fire! I absolutely love the worship feel of the track mixed with the EDM breaks that really make for a rock/trap combo that works well. The transitions are smooth and the trap is smooth too. This is a good track for those not too into trap. Awaio sings his heart out in this one too and he really does a good job of enticing you in his emotions! Great job Awaio!
JoaInfante is yet another great artist coming all the way from Argentina. This artist specializes in tropical house and this track certainly showcases their ability! This is a remix of the artist TWICE’s song, Aun En La Batalla, and it is quite the engaging tropical track! From start to finish, there is no boring part of this track. It’s one of those tracks that feels like more and more of one big continual progressive build as you go along. It picks up energy with a building background in the first section followed by a smooth drop into a bigger build, followed by a smooth drop into the chorus, followed by… you get the picture, ha ha! Let’s not forget the pastoral vocal insert at 2:15 which is the final build of the song that really sends it out with a bang! Thank you JoaInfante!
VYLW is one of those artists who dances on the cusp of gospel, pop, and CEDM. It’s really quite hard to place an appropriate genre for many of their tracks but I think that I like that about them. This particular track is a great example of what I’m talking about. This is fresh off of their recently released album and I think it is my favorite track of the album. I really enjoy the combination of an EDM tempo, EDM sounds, Gospel vocals, and a pop sort of vibe to it overall. It has a typical background EDM dolphin synth, a lead EDM sort of synth, but then there is that acoustic guitar gospel sound and vocals that really mesh quite well. I think that this track is quite a crowd please hit if you’re trying to convince your gospel mainstream friends of the merits of CEDM, ha ha. Thank you VYLW.
Fearless BND is quite the group. They are a church group comprised of many members, geographically located out of my local extended area, Los Angeles. They are definitely a cross genre group, even posting up their sermons to the world for listening. They seem to revolve around all sounds gospel but that includes some CEDM sounds as well. This makes for a very gospel-like sound to their CEDM tracks such as this track, Anchored. Talk about powerful! This track breathes the title. It really lets the listener spiritually feel God as their anchor when hearing the sounds of this track. You can definitely hear many synths common to a modern EDM track but the snaps, the bass, the piano, and the temperamental bounce synths really make for the deepness of the track. I love how engaging Anchor is. Thank you Fearless BND!
