Low Heart is a U.S. artist who has created his own tracks as well as some impressive remixes. I like his knack for remixing secular tracks with positive messages that can be interpreted in Godly ways. I love it when artists are particular like that in their selections of secular tracks. As of late, Low Heart has come out with many great tracks. Honestly, this was a hard choice to make to promote this track but I chose this one because it contains the most unambiguously Godly lyrics. Tauren Wells’ “Known” is a huge success in contemporary Christian circles and the remix potential was rightly recognized by Low Heart. I just love what he chose to do with the track. The added tropical-ish synths are just beautifully and originally blended with the beautiful lyrics of Tauren Wells. The timing of synchronization with the contemporary guitar and piano is also applaud worthy. Low Heart seems to have a knack for knowing how to add just the right amount of flare to a track. We thank you Low Heart for this great track!
Version2 came to me a few days ago with some of his tracks and I instantly became enticed in his classic deep house and deep trance sounds! I really think he fits that piece of the CEDM community well. For those looking for a similar sound to the classic artists of deep house, look no further. I love the beauty and catchy sound of this particular track, Traveller. It really does resemble the title in sound and feel and the lyrics are very well matched to the sound. I love how smooth his lyrics are and just how well they work with his sound. I’m pretty sure that I could not manage to listen to this track from start to finish and be in a stressful state. Just relaaaax and let the story play. Thank you Version2!
Joshua Epp is another great artist of the CEDM scene who has produced some good quality mixes. He seems to favor traditional dubstep sounds and really reflects the sounds of some of the classic CEDM tracks but to modern remixes such as this particular remix of Sammy Lemon’s Apollo. The vocals that you hear in this track are from the actual Apollo 8 Genesis recording. I cannot believe how well they are isolated and synchronized to that lunar-type dubstep beat in this track. I really think that Joshua Epp really managed to capture the feel of exploration, magnificence, and glory of God that is present in the final frontier. I simply can’t imagine a track that could do a better job than this. Thank you Joshua Epp!
Who is up for some future funk? RyujiViibes appears to be a newer CEDM artist and has produced some good hitting tracks of various EDM genres. I think that this up and coming artist has much potential in the CEDM scene, especailly when making such original sounds like this! This remix of Bulletproof (originally by Citizen Way) is quite a catch. I usually don’t much care for future funk unless it is really good. I love this song. I absolutely love its originality and how RyujiViibes managed to make it hit so hard. They really inserted the added synths just right and the vocals are mixed just right to make for a fun and energetic track that just simply can’t fail to lift the listener’s mood. Thank you RyujiViibes for this fun track!
Alex Chan is a great addition to the Spanish speaking CEDM crowd and he has a lot of talent in the area of big room house and progressive house, which seems to be a main focus of his as of late. This particular track is a great representation of that style and of his talent. This is actually a collaboration with DLMark and I think that their talents work well together. You can definitely hear Alex Chan’s talent come out in those over-the-top drops and bumps of big room house! I also like how this big room house manages to keep its structure well which is not often the case with big room house. Those beautiful vocals also mesh quite well with the chorus and build sections to balance out the heavy energy of the big room bounce. Thank you Alex Chan for this great big room track!
It was bound to happen sooner or later. I had to get in at least one Melbourne bounce track and who better to do it with than Karlizimo? Rhetorical. Karlizimo is the king of Melbourne bounce and euro dance type tracks within the CEDM community. He mostly does remixes and he is very good at it. This particular track is a popular track in Spanish speaking circles as of late and also a popular remix template track. I really like how Karlizimo brought his unique style to the table and made quite a unique remix that is unlike any of the others that I have heard. This is a fast tempo Melbourne track and I think that the bounce sections are probably the most notable. One would be hard pressed to find a bounce section with more energy than this. Thank you Karlizimo!
FXB is a very active artist within the CEDM community and is a part of the group of bedrock artists that put heart and soul into CEDM. This artist is definitely heeeeavy on the bass and loves to go big with dubstep. This particular track is a great example of everything that I have talked about so far. This collaboration with Sammy Lemon is quite entertaining and bass-y. If you need a high energy mix that gets the blood flowing then this is a solid bet. It really has a good combination of multiple bass sounds as well as those classic dubstep synths that really make for a smooth flowing but heavy hitting song. Thank you FXB for this quality mix!
When I discovered Kyros, I was completely blown away by the talent of this artist! My new opinion is that Kyros is probably one of top 3 most talented artists in CEDM. No joke; no exaggeration; you must listen! You can find a top quality remix of almost every EVERY EDM sound at the forefront of the EDM scene right now. I sat around for 20 minutes debating which of their recent tracks to debut and it was just too hard to choose. So I didn’t choose a track… I chose two! First I have their original track, A Través De Ti (ft. Bright Life). Secondly, I have their excellent remix of Marshall Marshall’s track, Always There For Me. Both are of the same quality and spam play-ability so I’ll be quiet now and let the tracks prove themselves, hahaha.
Oh and, for those who are longtime followers of CES know that I am a sucker for countro, the combination of my two favorite overall genres and also a current sound of EDM. So if you need something else to listen to, check out NEEDTOBREATHE – Happiness (KYROS remix). That track is GOLD for popular christian lovers, gospel lovers, country lovers, and EDM lovers alike.
