This little known production needs to be discovered! Talk about a hardcore (The music genre for those that don’t know) dub that has you banging from beginning to end! This song has the melody and lyrics that excite yet don’t over do. I can’t stand too much trying to make something over the top but this track does just enough before hitting that ceiling. The rapping is also noteworthy, it floooows.
Royalty Recordings is yet another name to remember when browsing your CEDM market. They promote some worthwhile work and Courageous by Movediz is one of those tracks. Movediz made this one a slow and melodic dubstep and it reminds me of the best days of Adventure Club when this sound was killing. This track proves that it still does. Add in the vocal track at the beginning and you get exactly what it says it is – courageous. That word echoes in the mind and makes you think about courage in your own life all throughout this song. It makes you reflect on breaking that cycle, whatever it may be. Definitely turn this one up to get that bass out there!
What can i say about both of these artists except that they are amazing? Both have developed a deserving name for themselves within the CEDM scene and both have produced various hits. Put both together and you get bliss aka Alive. The flow of this song is strong and flowing throughout with a single extreme shattering drop at 3:15 which will make your heart sink when it gets there. The vocals of Parker, “I’m so alive” just sink in quite nicely to the bpm of this song bouncing in the background.
How could I post the J-3 remix of this song without also including the brilliant original version by TransformDJs themselves. The TransformDJs have created some amazing mixes and this one is probably my favorite. The synthesizer kick in at 1:30 is the gold to wait for when listening through. It is so addicting that you will find yourself humming it throughout your day after just a few listens. Then top it all off at 4:00 with that “Whoa Oah, Whoa Oah, Whoa Oah” and you have guaranteed hit.
Jir3h-3, now known as J-3, is most definitely a recognizable DJ in the CEDM Scene. Although he dabbles in all kinds of EDM, he has been responsible for more than one of my favorite remixes of Christian songs. I See You Moving (Jir3h-3 Remix) by the TransformDJs is no exception to the J-3 success rule. This version of the song really puts a bounce type spin on the song that gives it so much energy and yet the break at 3:34 keeps that epic note of the song in there just as well.
This particular track is remixed by one of my top CEDM artists, Taylor Franklyn. This guy knows exactly how to create originality in every one of his songs. This remix is another of the deep melodic type. I find that it portrays a seriousness that can be listened to in any situation and the lows are anything but boring unlike lesser EDM tracks. I find I actually prefer the lows and the builds over the bumps. But that dirty vibe in between is still noteworthy.
So for my first post I figured I’d start with the song that started it all for me. Yes this was the first CEDM song I listened to. I stumbled upon this track one day when browsing through a great secular EDM blog I follow, knackfortracks.com. I found it odd that this was posted there but anyways…
About the song! This song has that deep dub step/house style melody that just absolutely penetrates the soul! It is a beautiful song to begin with but when remixed in this version, it just speaks volumes to my soul. I find that this song NEVER gets old to listen to. I have probably listened to it 200 times now and can still repeat it, which is extremely rare for my attention span. The intro is soft but you can tell something is about to explode and it does so well at 1:15. Turn up the speakers and bass for this one to really hit you right the first time through. The breaks, builds, and bounce sections are very well designed as well probably mostly due to that presence in the original song as well. I couldn’t really find any info on the artist but let me know if you have anything on him/her.
Well I am so glad to finally be beyond all the designing junk and finally actually doing what I want to do now and that is posting music! So stay tuned ladies and gentlemen, I have hundreds of good christian EDM tracks to post up and only so much time to do so. But do be expecting quite a bit here in the beginning as I must play catch up! Some of these are months old or even a few years old but I feel the need to post them anyways due to the unorganized state of the CEDM market and the fact that some have even slipped by me till recently.
